This was the side entrance to a run down disused church in the old city of Valencia....lovely detail around the doorframe.

Very cool - I like the very apt title. It's quite a weird pic. Just one thing - is that door steel? I can't tell. It's either that or it looks like painted over brickwork. (which would be weirder) Very nice, though.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Must have been a recent addition - possibly to counter the ever-present threat of bandits raiding the collection plate.
